using tobacco material; extract condensation process and equipment cleaning; physical and chemical indices meet national standards, sensory quality superior products of Modi Company and tobacco leaf quality reach certain grade; tobacco material yield above 85%; establish documents of formula management, process parameters, operation procedure, technical standard, testing method and equipment maintenance etc. For products categorized as superior (first and second grade cigarettes), solve the problem of negative sensation influence, endow the brand with unique characters;

2Inferior reconstituted sheet technology and process: reduce cost by using wood pulp cellulose and inorganic fillings; overall quality superior or equal to products of similar international company, price much lower than domestic cost. For medium and inferior product (third, fourth and fifth grade cigarette) solve the problem of negative sensation influence and endow the brand with neutral characters

Job description for

Head of Therapeutics China

The candidate will lead the company China’s scientific affairs and play a key role in achieving the company’s business objectives. The incumbent will be based in Zhangjiang High-Tech Park of Shanghai, China.

Main responsibilities:

1) Strengthen company’s reputation among its collaborators as a leading expert in drug discovery and development;

2) Lead the sourcing of therapeutic compounds discovered/developed in China. Work closely with colleagues in China and US Headquarter to identify, carry out evaluation of sourced compounds and produce summary documents suitable for internal use and pharma collaboration partner evaluation.

3) Lead the scientific exchange and communication between the company China team and the US Headquarter therapeutics expert team.

4) Provide expert advice and guidance on drug R&D for our potential collaborators including principal investigators in leading academic institutes and private drug R&D organizations, gaining their respect and developing strong relationships.

5) Provide critical support to the attainment of company’s business objectives related to strategic collaboration and product development through scientific leadership.

Requirement

1. Ph.D. and/or M.D. degree in a relevant medical or biological field

2. 10 years+ working experience in international biotech or pharmaceutical companies involved in chemical or biological drug discovery and/or development

3. Full understanding of the entire drug development process including preclinical and clinical stages

4. At least 2 years experience in a managerial position involved in therapeutics

5. Understanding of past and current R&D approaches for therapeutics

6. Bilingual; fluent in English and Mandarin

7. Excellent communication skills

8. Teamwork and leadership abilities
